Sharing artwork created by my husband

Artwork by Josh Torgerson

I haven't done a blog post in a while.  That's okay.  I crocheted/sewed myself a new purse (photo below), and made progress on the garden.

Since I wasn't too productive in the drawing department, my husband was!!  Sometimes when I'm physically unable to create and Josh can, I feel like I'm getting an opportunity to still create.  As long as someone is doing it, I feel happy about it.

Josh is fascinated with sacred geometry, so his art is centered around the flower of life.  Look closely.  :-)

Here's a doodle I created a long time ago.  I think this was mostly done while riding in the car.

This one sort of looks like an owl!  I made this one last Friday.  I might still add something more to it or use this concept for another piece.

Again, this one has the same starting center.  Infinity.  I love this idea but I liked this better before I added the color.  I need to get used to using colors again.  I am obsessed with using a single pen!  That's okay.  :-)

For about a good year I kept saying I was going to either buy a new purse or make one.  I just never found the right one.  Plus, I actually really wanted to make my own.

A friend of mine taught me how to make yarn out of plastic bags a few years ago.  It's called plarn.  Here's a picture tutorial I found online if you want to make your own plarn purse.

What is great about this particular plarn, is that my husband Josh made it for me.  He loves making it! (He'll also untangle yarn, and seam rip my messed up sewing projects!)

The inside of the bag is lined with a recycled T shirt and has a pocket made from the material that's on the front, which is also a recycled shirt.  It's still missing the rust colored lace along the handle.  I'm just not in the mood to sew anymore.  At least not yet.

When it has a lace handle I'll snap some more photos of this project.

Anyway, I'll be back shortly with a finished piece.  Thanks for stopping by.
