Weekend Collaboration

Art work by: Amber Torgerson, Josh Torgerson and Sarah Torgerson
I was looking through my husband's sketchbook tonight and I found this! My 8 year old daughter, my husband, and I all pitched in on this one!

Over our Christmas break, All three of us took turns drawing a little here and there.  The whole family had fun finding new elements after each person took their turn.

What do you see in this drawing?

I highly recommend this as a fun, family activity.  :-)  Do it!!

Thank you for stopping by!

Fancy Beads and A Micro Proton Explosion

Just a floating design.  It looks beaded, so we'll call this one Fancy Beads.  It works for now.

My son says this drawing looks like a Micro Proton Explosion. How does he know what one looks like?  Kids are smart, give them some credit, right?

I've been itching to sit down and do some major drawing, but I had to make do with what time I had these last few days.  I decided to do some room switching, and my house has been in shambles.  I almost have it put back together finally, and I'm satisfied with the changes.

Thanks for stopping by.  Much love to you all.

Subconscious on the loose.

I don't think before I draw.  98% of the time, I have no idea what is going to happen on my paper. I let loose, turn my thoughts off, and see what happens.  This is what happened last night.  It's offbeat, and I like it!  hahaha.

I'll let you decide what this is.  Feel free to post your thoughts.

Thank you for stopping in.

A new sketch, an old drawing, and a forgotten doodle.

My husband and I started this last night.  I think we could elaborate on it a little more.  I love working on art and ideas with other people!

Here is a drawing I created on cardboard from a frozen pizza.  These are always the best ones I think.  You haven't a care in the world as to what is coming out.  It's just a piece of cardboard.  :-)

This sketch I found two days ago.  I don't really remember when I came up with this!  I do like the concept though, and I'll be doing something with it in the future.

Thanks for stopping by and getting ceative with me!

A finished piece, and an old piece of wood.

Here is my finished product.  I stink at photographing art.  I'll get there.  :-)

Can you see all the guitar picks?

When I draw these, it is complete meditation for me.  My brain is quiet, and I balance everything the best that I can as I go from side to side, corner to corner.

I didn't use a ruler, other than to mark the outsides.  It's free hand, and in my eyes there are no such things as mistakes when I make these.  What happens in one corner, also happens in the next.  It might be slightly larger, or smaller.  That's okay.  :-)

Here is some of my older artwork from last spring.   It's a painted piece of wood that was spared from the burn pile, painted and then drawn on with markers.  Free hand.

A work in progress

Working on a blog is all new to me.  I tried in the past, and failed miserably at keeping up due to the fact that I get so angry when I do computer work.  I'd rather be making art.  I want to be able to share my art with the world, and this is one way for me to get started.  Bear with me as I learn how to use the tools on here.

I've been playing a lot of music lately, so these two pieces are music inspired.  I used my guitar pick to get started.  The second piece is still a work in progress.
