Do I need a title for this blog post?

Artwork by Sarah Torgerson

Here is a sneak peak of an art piece I'm working on.  It's a twice as large as the drawings I've been doing lately.

I love this one.  Every time I sit down to work on it, I am quiet, calm and relaxed.  There is no pressure to be perfect.  It's just me, moving from one space to the next.  A little here, a little there.  No mistakes are possible.  No expectations.

My son says this is a mushroom protector.  I always love his insight.  Why protect the mushrooms?  Hmm.  Let's think about this one for a bit.

Today was so nice.  All my kids were working quietly, and I had a moment to paint and draw for a few.  I also planted two lemon seeds I had in my kitchen, and had a pep talk with my newest seedlings!

I may have to do an art piece that is lemon inspired!  I can draw my future meyer lemon trees!  Ha, I'm easily entertained.

Thank you for stopping by.  :-)

Meriah

Meriah  By  Sarah Torgerson

I drew this on Friday night after a fun-filled day of listening to kids sing and dance.  There is nothing better than watching your children while they are in their creative element.  I'm so proud of my talented girl!

This one is called Meriah.  This was drawn freely with no intentions, or expecations set in place.   It was interesting to see what came out of this meditation.  This drawing reminds me of another one I did a few months ago.  Both resemble some kind of being.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.  What do you see?  Does the image strike a chord for you?  Do you like to draw freely with nothing in mind?  No expectations?

Thank you for stopping by.

A little bunny

I haven't done nearly enough drawing lately!  I am working on a collaboration with my husband Josh.  I may snap a progress photo of that soon.

Last week was all about music, and I sang again!  My fear of being on stage is dwindling away! I know I'll have a few music inspired pieces to draw soon.  They are swimming around in my head waiting to be drawn!

I had the urge to crochet something cutesy yesterday, but I needed instant gratification!  I saw an adorable knit bunny on facebook, and decided to just crochet my own while watching the newest edition of The Cosmos!  (VERY good btw!)

Here is a photo I took of her today.  She is abut 6 inches tall, and her dress is made out of soft cotton with sparkle shimmers throughout.

Creature B. From the Bottom of the Sea

I call this one Creature B.  She was born from a pen that wasn't loved as much as the others.  The ink was running low, so I had no expectations.
